usi Teaching theater
Evansville, Indiana
The nearly 300 seat teaching theater opened in the spring of 2015 at the University of Southern Indiana and is one of the most unique buildings we've had the pleasure to be a part of building.
One of the things that makes this building stand out are the one of a kind, locally sourced features it includes. From the outside, you'll see the Red Sandstone that covers the exterior from Brazil, Indiana and large clay columns from Can Clay Corporation in Cannelton, Indiana. As you enter the corridor, the custom chandeliers built from the Jasper Chair company's chair legs and Toyota Sienna hoods hanging below the cat walks will catch your eye. Once inside the theater, the custom light wall behind the stage with thousands of LED lights in a full color spectrum is a sight to behold.
